The making of the Grand Seiko watch
Grand Seiko's meticulously decorated replica luxury watches are deeply influenced by Japanese artisan culture.
Although its timepiece creations are known worldwide for their stunning designs and cutting-edge technology, Japanese watch brand Grand Seiko remains true to its artisan roots. The artisans at Grand Seiko have honed their hand in handcrafted elements and traditional techniques, imbuing the timepiece with a personal touch from traditional Japanese culture.
A unique feature of Grand Seiko watches is the use of urushi, a lacquerware that has been essential to Japanese craftsmanship for the past 9,000 years. Urushi originates from the trees of Joboji, a small town at the foot of Mount Iwate, as seen from the Shizukuishi watch studio at Grand Seiko. Grand Seiko's Calibre 9S63 is a new slim design in the Elegance collection, inspired by the rugged beauty of Mt. Iwate, with its delicate pattern rendered in amber patent leather. For the alternate Calibre 9S63 model, the urushi is tinted with iron, giving the dial a jet-black hue. A technique called zaratsu is used to polish the case of the watch, emphasizing its unique curves.
Grand Seiko's lacquer expert Isshu Tamura uses traditional Japanese craftsmanship to create Grand Seiko replica watches for sale in his studio in Kanazawa, a city on the west coast of Japan's main island. To complete the creation, Tamura meticulously hand-applied the timepiece’s hour markers and GS logo using traditional Maki-e techniques, building up the markers layer by layer to create dimension. He then applies gold or platinum powder to the Maki-e markers and polishes them by hand to give the features a shiny finish. Because each mark needs to have the same depth, very careful and flexible fingers are required to give the watch a distinctive touch. Historic Japanese craftsmanship gives Grand Seiko timepieces a stunning design for the modern wearer.
Jacob & Co unveils limited edition "Fast and Furious" twin-turbo watch
Jacob & Co just released a limited-edition watch inspired by the hit Fast and Furious collection. Dubbed the "Fast and Furious Twin Turbo," this limited-edition watch features Jacob & Co's signature style while incorporating iconic imagery from the film series.
It is an improved version of Jacob & Co's famous Twin Turbo Furious, the world's first to combine a high-speed dual-axis tourbillon (a watch that keeps accurate time even under the influence of speed or gravity) with a decimal system that rings every 10 minutes Minute repeater, monopusher chronograph (allowing the use of a single pusher to start, stop and reset the chronograph) and mechanical time reference indicator.
"Our Twin Turbo Furious is a perfect fit for the Fast and Furious collection," Jacob & Co. CEO Benjamin Arabov was quoted in a press release, "not only [with] the name of our watch, but the whole emphasis on speed and being exceptional. Jacob & Co. has worked with many important and successful partners, but I have never worked with an entity that is so closely aligned with our DNA. The new Fast and Furious Twin Turbo high quality replica watches would be fantastic. "
The watch itself has many homages to the famous franchise. The face includes a reference to the starting line of the first movie. A girl at the start holds a checkered flag, and two speeding supercars face off; one is an American muscle car, the other is a supercharged import. The franchise's logo is located above the car.
Unlike other watches, the mechanical time reference of the watch has a unique display based on racing knowledge. The timer is split into two halves, giving the wearer a feeling of being behind the wheel, according to the service board that staff use to communicate pace times.
This timepiece offers a perspective for those more interested in the mechanics under the hood. With the help of a "sapphire crystal case back," as Jacobs & Co. describes it, the owner of this piece has a full view of the winding movement of the 832 components. The title of the work is also marked on the back.fake watches for sale
Fans who want to own this piece will have to act fast, as only nine of them will be made and released; a reference to the nine-film series in the Fast and the Furious.
The watches are set to release on Friday, June 25, the same day that the ninth film in the series -- F9 -- will hit theaters. While this is very limited, fans won't have to wait long to see the sequel. Plans for further cooperation are being developed.
"Our plan is very exciting and will be as fast, intense and exciting as a movie legend," Arabov is quoted as saying.Jacob & Co. Astronomia Casino
